Let Google be the Grammar Police!

Updated: Sep 12, 2019

Middle School English teachers everywhere are jumping for joy! In case you missed it, this summer Google Docs added an integrated grammar checker that's as easy to use as their existing spell check. I recently discovered this handy new feature while I was typing up an agenda for an upcoming meeting. I had forgotten to add an apostrophe on a possessive noun and suddenly a little blue squiggly line appeared. Oh

my goodness, Google just became the Grammar Police!

Better yet, if you turn on the Spelling and Grammar auto-check, Google Docs will provide you suggestions for correcting both your spelling and grammar mistakes as you type! It's so handy! Since the grammar check is powered by Google AI, it will get smarter over time, based on users actually using it.
